28 Years Later: The Bone Temple

I’m Trevor with the Sasquatch Movie Minute and I’m here with 28 years later: bone temple.
4.5 out of 5.
The Bone Temple is a direct sequel to last years excellent Danny Boyle-directed zombie film 28 Years Later. The bone temple is directed by Nia DaCosta
Stunning film; weird, funny, and beautiful. I was moved by the exploration of faith; specifically how atheism (always depicted as nihilism in my catholic upbringing) can double as humanism and be gloriously hopeful. I drop this down slightly due to the extreme torture gore of the beginning.
Best scene: when the two main characters sit down and have a tense and incisive. conversation about faith. Close second and third place scenes are two unforgettable music montage scenes; one set to Iron Maiden, the other to —-
Performance. Ralph Fiennes just kills this. He can reveal the interiority of his charcter just through expression and body language without being obvious. In a just world this would be an Oscar nominated performance.
Wonderful jaw-dropping ending, a life affirming payoff. And that fucking banger of a theme song thundering through the credits sends you out with a smile.
See it!
